"The world changed after 9/11."

This phrase has been repeated often since the cowardly deeds were carried out. From my viewpoint the 'world' didn't change at all. Our 'perception' of it changed. As did our 'supposed' representatives in Washington. They came up with The 'Patriot Act' a document which in and of itself is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It is another 'back-door' methodology to chipping away at our rights!

The last time our country was attacked in such a manner was Pearl Harbor. There are many 'conspiracy' theories floating around about that "dastardly attack" as well. Some hold, and I'm inclined to agree, that our government had foreknowledge of the attack. That the attack was the 'excuse' used to draw the U.S.A. into WWII.

One of the most despicable actions our government has ever done was carried out in the hysteria following Pearl Harbor. They rounded up ALL people of Japanese decent, whether 'born citizens' or immigrants, and placed them in Concentration Camps. Can understand the fear that motivates such an action. However, to grossly violate citizens rights out of fear is inconceivable. The Germans attacked and sunk a number of our ships, including passenger ships. Yet our government didn't round up any Germans, (of which, I myself, am half German). The point being equity. Today, there seems to be a movement towards that same type of illogical thinking by our government. Only this time it is all citizens regardless of race, creed or color. There is ample evidence proving they want to get guns out of the hands of the people. And, if one method doesn't work, they are more than willing to use countless others. I believe this is called scheming.

Our government seems to have problems on the subject of history. They don't learn from it. The FACT that this country was founded and kept free by vigilant use of the gun seems to have escaped them. The FACT that our Constitution guarantees the Right to Keep and Bear Arms seems to have escaped them as well. That one of the main reasons we were to keep and bear arms was to have the ability to put down tyranny in government. (I believe they understand the latter crystal clear - hence their reasoning for getting rid of guns).

The point that I'm trying to make is that we as citizens should not be allowing our 'public servants' to DICTATE what we can or cannot do. Especially when it comes to Rights that have already been 'set in stone' as being unalienable! That they have no legal standing on which to DICTATE these rights. And, that if we do not act on these abuses of power we will be subjugated. If we do not form a LARGE cohesive body of citizens to confront them on these FACTS our future and that of our children's will be very dark indeed. "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country!" And women to.
