In respone to Jarek Garlinski's article; Licence to kill - life under the gun in the US

The cowardly anti-gun story, (linked in the headline), was found on Keep and Bear Arms, about an article on expat.telegraph
.
What follows is my response to the spewed forth 'tripe';
.
First of all Jarek. The Constitution of the United States of America Guarantees the Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms. And this for a number of very good reasons. Against threats from ALL enemies, Foreign or Domestic, being the first reason. As a means against attack from whatever source it may arise, secondly.
.
The Founders of the United States went through 100's of years of history, in order to ascertain the best form of government for the new country. Which, if I must remind you, broke off from the Tyranny of the crown and parliment of that day.
.
Hitler did not attack Switzerland. Now why do you suppose THAT was the case? It was common knowledge at the time that the Swiss were a Nation of ARMED citizen soldiers. And that they are allowed to have the means of defense with them at all times. Consider Finland, when the Red Army crossed it's borders, the Fins gave them a sound 'thrashing'!
.
Apparently the horrors of World War II are starting to fade from memory. The last century was the most murderous in the history of mankind! And you espouse the idea that it will all be okay now? Have you any common sense at all, man? Perhaps another Blitzkreig might help your memory problem?
.
We have a whole religion of people that HATE us. Not just the U.S., but ALL Christian nations! And these people have sworn to kill us! It is part of their religion to put into submission or obliterate the 'infidels'.
.
Would suggest that you study some of Sir Winston Churchill's writings. One statement by Winston; “It is important when you haven't got any ammunition to have a butt on your rifle.”
.
Would highly suggest that you pull your head out of the sand, mate!

David,

Stop it with the common sense. You are going to make poor Jarek's head hurt.
