Recently, very recently I might add, I was awakened to the idea of what True Freedom is all about. This was accomplished through the direct help of two individuals to whom I am deeply grateful. First is Matthew from TriggerFinger and second is David from The War On Guns. These two gentlemen helped me to realize what our Founders meant when they were talking about Freedom. And that what we are experiencing today in this country is far from the intended ideal our founders had envisioned. I had a faint grasp of freedom previously but it was limited by the idea that government was the answer to social functioning.
As I have written previously, while still in the 'limited' mindset, this country is being run, for the most part, by selfish, greedy and corrupt beings, (hate to use the word people to describe them), within our own government. We have had our government hijacked by these people who are using this 'supposed' power to strip us of any freedom that was granted to us. Granted by God, not by man. For it is not within the powers of men to grant liberty and freedom! The only 'power' those in government have is what is allowed by us, the people.
Hoping to be able to use this new found Freedom to maximum effectiveness. As well as help others to realize what it really was that our founders were trying to give us.
As I have stated before, what we really have in this country is a polite, (and sometimes not so polite), dictatorship. Many of those in 'supposed' power regularly pervert their intended purposes and abuse the trust of the people they are supposed to serve. Some of these transgressions are minor and not too harmful. While other actions, undertaken by these perverse automatons, are downright murderous!
What is in the mind of a person that attempts to control their fellow man? To dictate to another what they will speak, act and live? That you can do this, but must not do that. What is right and just is that a person, excersizing their liberties and freedoms, infringes not upon anothers pursuit of the same. They are granted that right under our constitution. There must needs be penalties for those that transgress and cause intentional harm to others. This is ideally where government, as instituted by the governed, is supposed to enter the picture. As a safeguard of our liberties. And as an administrator of law and justice as set forth within the bounds of the Constitution. When the administration deems that it knows better than those who put them there and then perverts the laws of the land accordingly - that is tyranny.
For the sake of ourselves, our children and our country, this deliberate perversion of the Intent of our founders for a truly free Republic, must cease! It is not to late to return to the basics and start off again on the right footing. But the window of opportunity is quickly closing!

The following came from Citizen Soldier;
CITIZEN SOLDIER (http://www.citizensoldier.org/index.html)
....U.S. law outlaws any scheme to kill, enslave, or extort money from U.S. citizens. Title 18 of the U.S. Code, section 241 states in relevant part:
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory,Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same....
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
Am I dreaming, or is this the WAY to stop the Gun-Grabbers in their tracks? As well as to SUE the Fed and States that have stolen rights away from their citizens. I know this law was intended for protection of minorities, (especially the African American), after the Civil War. It is my contention that Gun Owners and the Moral people of the U.S. have been ostracized and are, or are close to being, a MINORITY.
Have spoken with an attorney friend of mine and he thinks it can be used in a civil court for sure. It cannot be used against the states because of sovereign immunity. Although it can be argued that it's applicable to the government when it violates its own constitution!
If anyone knows of a means to get this to court, our Bill of Rights has a chance of being restored in full across the country! (Both the 1st and 2nd Amendments). Would need a good case in which the argument was applicable.

These politicians had better open their eyes....
Have spent A LOT of time doing research and gathering information off of the internet for GunShowOnTheNet.com. It is becoming quite apparent that there are QUITE A FEW people out there that are VERY ANGRY about the state of our Union! This is good! For anger forces change. It is what our Country and the Revolution was built on. The powers that be in Washington, nestled in their 'Ivory Towers' are so blind they can't see it. Or they don't want to see it.
They think they have the comfort of being guarded by the Military and Police. I can tell you for a fact that there are many in the Law Enforcement community and in the Military that are JUST AS ANGRY as the rest of us! What they seem to forget is that the members of the Military and Police are our friends, family and part of our communities.
I think what we are going to see soon is another large social upheaval in this country. People are sick and tired of these 'supposed representatives' telling us what we feel and how we should live! Especially when it is quite apparent that most of these politicians are driven by self-interest and care little, if at all, about the General Welfare of the people. There is a big pot of resentment brewing under a closed lid and it is getting ready to spill over from the pressure!
There are gains being made in the political arena in parties other than Democrat and Republican. People are tired of being lied to! They want change and some are DEMANDING it! There are calls for accountability, and restoration of values and morals that used to work just fine! All I can say is - It's About Time!

Conspiracy and not just in 'Theory'...
(This post has been amended and changed from its original form)
It is seemingly apparent that the Federal Government assumes it not only has the Right but the duty to perform 'Background' checks on prospective purchasers of Firearms. Which has some merit, for it is quite evident that our Founders desired that Firearms be in "safe and sane" hands. That the Federal Government assures that a citizen is indeed capable of possessing a firearm could be considered a matter of Ensuring Domestic Tranquility it can be reasoned. It is also readily apparent that we all make mistakes, whether in thought, word or deed. Those that have at one time offended and transgressed the law should have the ability to return to the 'safe and sane' status after a reasonable period of time. Depending of course on the severity of the offense committed. And their 'track record' since the time in which the offense occurred. That would seem to be fair and reasonable Justice.
There are some citizens that should NEVER be allowed possession of a Firearm. Those that have ever caused intentionally grievous criminal harm to another for instance. Although 'crimes of passion' must be carefully weighed in the balances of Justice. For we are dealing with the most base of human emotion. Jealousy is a natural human emotion and is for the most part unavoidable in certain cases. For even God is jealous and desires our total loyalty and fidelity. It is my assertion that the aforementioned is right, just and within the 'Intent of the U.S. Constitution'.
What is not right, just or within the Intent of the U.S. Constitution are those that conspire to subvert it. Whether the conspiracy comes from the Government or Private sector. The people that lobby for Gun Control are indeed making the attempt to subvert the original intent of the Founders when it was written. And the Bill of Rights has been judicially reaffirmed on a number of occasions. Which makes the attempts at subverting it all that much more intolerable.
There should be provision to address this grievance and to have criminal charges brought against those attacking their fellow citizens rights. It is a matter that is beyond contention. For we are Constitutionally assured of the Rights given under it!
Possible legal arguments can be made using the following;
Article IV of the U.S. Constitution;
Section 2 - The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities
of Citizens in the several States.
Article VI of the U.S. Constitution;
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

Have an idea....
Why don't we have The Great American Social Experiment? Have all those who value their Constitutional Rights move to states which Honor the Original U.S. Constitution. It shouldn't be that costly of an experiment for the majority of Americans move a number of times in their lives anyways.
Those who care little for their Rights can stay or move to states which have perverted the Constitution.
At the end of a specific period of time. A consensus can be taken as to which states have faired better in all of the social issues. This will provide clear cut proof that our Founders were either correct or incorrect in their assertions of a proper government.

Pulled this off Firearms & Liberty.....
"... we call for effective and courageous action to control handguns, leading to their eventual elimination from society." - Kate Krisik, Social Concerns Director for the Minnesota Catholic Conference - Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune, article by Conrad Defiebre.
I guess she forgets the Nazis' and the sin of omission the Catholic church committed by remaining silent when the Jews, Christians, gypsies and others were marched off to their deaths! (After they had first been disarmed by the Nazis').

Misplaced trust....
It is a weak, morally and spiritually bankrupt soul that would give up their right to self-protection. And put their total trust in government to provide that security. It indicates a personal lack of responsibility and a lazy mentality. To put faith in man as a source of security is a risky proposition. It is common knowledge, or should be, that man is subject to failure. Even God, who is omnipotent, will leave you 'wide-open' if your not in line with His terms. And will allow that you suffer consequences for foolishness! - EDQ

The doomsday provision

Guns are dangerous. But myths are dangerous, too. Myths about guns are very dangerous, because they lead to bad laws. And bad laws kill people. "Don't tell me this bill will not make a difference," said President Clinton, who signed the Brady Bill into law.
Sorry. Even the federal government can't say it has made a difference. The Centers for Disease Control did an extensive review of various types of gun control: waiting periods, registration and licensing, and bans on certain firearms. It found that the idea that gun control laws have reduced violent crime is simply a myth.
I wanted to know why the laws weren't working, so I asked the experts. "I'm not going in the store to buy no gun," said one maximum-security inmate in New Jersey. "So, I could care less if they had a background check or not."
"There's guns everywhere," said another inmate. "If you got money, you can get a gun."
Talking to prisoners about guns emphasizes a few key lessons. First, criminals don't obey the law. (That's why we call them "criminals.") Second, no law can repeal the law of supply and demand. If there's money to be made selling something, someone will sell it.
A study funded by the Department of Justice confirmed what the prisoners said. Criminals buy their guns illegally and easily. The study found that what felons fear most is not the police or the prison system, but their fellow citizens, who might be armed. One inmate told me, "When you gonna rob somebody you don't know, it makes it harder because you don't know what to expect out of them."
What if it were legal in America for adults to carry concealed weapons? I put that question to gun-control advocate Rev. Al Sharpton. His eyes opened wide, and he said, "We'd be living in a state of terror!"
In fact, it was a trick question. Most states now have "right to carry" laws. And their people are not living in a state of terror. Not one of those states reported an upsurge in crime.
Why? Because guns are used more than twice as often defensively as criminally. When armed men broke into Susan Gonzalez' house and shot her, she grabbed her husband's gun and started firing. "I figured if I could shoot one of them, even if we both died, someone would know who had been in my home." She killed one of the intruders. She lived. Studies on defensive use of guns find this kind of thing happens at least 700,000 times a year.
And there's another myth, with a special risk of its own. The myth has it that the Supreme Court, in a case called United States v. Miller, interpreted the Second Amendment -- "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" -- as conferring a special privilege on the National Guard, and not as affirming an individual right. In fact, what the court held is only that the right to bear arms doesn't mean Congress can't prohibit certain kinds of guns that aren't necessary for the common defense. Interestingly, federal law still says every able-bodied American man from 17 to 44 is a member of the United States militia.
What's the special risk? As Alex Kozinski, a federal appeals judge and an immigrant from Eastern Europe, warned in 2003, "the simple truth -- born of experience -- is that tyranny thrives best where government need not fear the wrath of an armed people."
"The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do," Judge Kozinski noted. "But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once."

We need an Armed populace more than EVER....
It is my contention that the citizenry of the United States of America needs to be more and better armed now, than at any other period in our history. We have an admitted enemy that is living amongst us that has sworn mass destruction on us! It would seem sensible that knowledge of an armed populace would cause some reservations in the mind of those trying to cause us harm. Not to mention the deterrent it would give to domestic criminals!
Admittedly, it was difficult for the colonists to identify an enemy. Because everyone in the 'new world' was from the same general area of the 'old world'. However the mere fact of arms 'anywhere and everywhere' was surely a deterrent! The psychological 'effect' alone is without argument! That this goes without notice by our present government is inconceivable!
After the attack on Pearl Harbor an armed 'Home Guard' was established along our country's coastline states. More of our citizens were killed on 9/11 than were on 12/07/1941! You would think that itself would demand a greater urgency! Does our government consider us so infantile that we cannot be trusted with arms? (Our founders sure didn't!)
It is my opinion that the wisdom of our founders far outweighs that of any exhibited by our representatives today! As well as the confidence that our founders had in the people and their abilities to guard their own land and freedom! By the muffling of our Constitution and Bill of Rights it is evident that the confidence in the people by government has eroded. (or is it fear?)Since when was our government allowed to take on the parental role? Deciding what is good and what is bad for us? History proves that the People of the United States have 'risen to the occasion' EVERY TIME we have been called upon!

There should be no room for debate or contention....
The subject of keeping and bearing arms was settled over 200 years ago! It is a Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHT. The laws of man, (at least in the USA, supposedly), and the laws of God support the notion that a person has the right to defend life, liberty and property! All laws written, (in any state of the Union), that are repugnant to the original intent of the Constitution should therefore be null and void. For they are perversions of the original intent. And those trying to apply these perversions are subverting the modus operandi of our country and need to be silenced!
The Supreme Court of this land knows the aforementioned FACTS yet fails to act! WHY? Because we have LET THEM get away with it!
The pain involved in correcting this perversion will be far less than the agony involved in doing nothing!

There MUST be some type of misunderstanding going on here....
I used to not care as to understanding the workings of our government, for the most part, for much of my life. Mostly because of the contentious nature of the subject and the arguments that would arise over it. Had to listen to countless hours of it growing up. Learned about what our government was supposed to be while going to school. But the hypocrisy and the feeling of being powerless to do anything about it turned me off.
Then something changed in me. When it started to occur to me that if most of our population has the same attitude, we are screwed! Because the government will take as much power as it can possibly get away with! And absolute power does corrupt absolutely! Now, I've found my 'voice' and am starting to speak out about the injustices I've seen and continue to see.
What seems apparent to me is that the government seemingly thinks that it is in charge. When I read the writings surrounding the Constitution, Bill of Rights and those of our founders. I find that what is happening today, in this government, is not what was intended by our founders! The government is supposed to consist of public servants. Not dictators or rulers! It is NOT to be a seat of power and high honor. They are SERVANTS!
The people were the ones that were to have the power and the final say! The workings of the system of government was to be constrained by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It is quite evident that this is NOT the case.
USA does not stand for United Socialist Amalgamated!
Somehow or another our supposed representatives came up with the thought that they know better than we do. And that we need controlled and legally stifled because of our ignorance! Deal with ANY local, state or federal official and tell me that is NOT how they come across! The way our laws have been twisted by them PROVE it is exactly what they intended to do! They have, in their mind anyways, legally and economically enslaved us! Hence, they are, (again, in their mind), our masters! Of whom we must be obedient or face the consequences.
What our founders intended was that the people are the ones with the power. And that the Constitution and Bill of Rights were set as guidelines. We are their BOSS, we tell them not only what to do, but how they are going to do it! We pay for their salaries and everything else that government entails. IT IS OURS - THE PEOPLES, not theirs. They are servants! The final word was always meant to come from the people! And, if necessary, we were to bear arms to MAKE them listen! And the ones presently in our government know this. Hence the reason for the perversion and twisting of our laws to suit their purposes. And the repeated attempts to disarm us!
And it is high time that these 'supposed' representatives, (servants), had an employee review! (Which is supposed to be the purpose of the vote!). In my opinion they all have unsatisfactory ratings and therefore should be dismissed! For none stand up and tell their colleagues that "You can't do that! It is against the law, the Constitution and Bill of Rights!" They are ALL guilty of perverting and subverting our laws! Whether by act of commission or of omission! We need to be rid of every single last one. Give them a crystal clear understanding of just who is in power! And replace them with people that understand WHO they are supposed to be serving. People that will ALWAYS bear in mind the Constitution and Bill of Rights! This should apply to the judicial branch as well, since their memory is so hazy!
These SERVANTS should receive the median wages and benefits as the people that they serve earn. WE give them raises, if the job is well done. They should not be allowed to vote themselves raises. We the people need to DEMAND accountability! And if a servant is caught taking a bribe to influence their vote, (which is supposed to be the will of the people that they represent), they are imprisoned - period! For there are not supposed to be any 'special interests' only the interest of the people!
Then something changed in me. When it started to occur to me that if most of our population has the same attitude, we are screwed! Because the government will take as much power as it can possibly get away with! And absolute power does corrupt absolutely!

Something happened today....
Was at a Gun Show all day and it was crowded. One thing I like about the shows is the opportunity of meeting and talking with ALL TYPES of people. The conversations at this show saddened and sickened me however. There are A LOT of elderly Veterans who come to the shows. I especially like speaking with them because of their experiences. And because often what they have to say has REAL credibility. These are guys who have SEEN the results of rabid gun-banners and have FOUGHT them in armed combat. These are the guys that helped make this country great! They sacrificed for their country and families. They are HARD working, steady and as a general rule fearless individuals.
Almost ALL of the conversations I participated in today, involved the State of our Nation. Many of these guys are either buying or thinking hard about buying semi-automatic, military style guns. And the reason for doing so is that they are AFRAID of our government! I could see the fear in their eyes. These are guys who took ACTION, instead of just talking, (like the majority of our 'supposed' public servant blowhards). And now, after they put their life on the line for this country, they are afraid of the very government they served. This is despicable! It creates in me a seething hatred for this evil, corrupt and hypocritical government. And the twisted individuals, who are supposed to be serving the people, that work in it.
Both of my grandfathers served in World War II. One was a Naval pilot and the other was in the Army. The one that was in the Army was captured by the Nazis'. He was placed in a P.O.W. camp that was near one of the extermination centers. Before he went over to Europe he was a strong man with plenty of drive and ambition. When he returned he was just a 'wisp' of his former self. He saw and smelt the results of what the Nazis were doing to those deemed as 'undesirable'. What he went through has stayed with me my whole life. And he knew that all that horror had started with corrupt governments and gun confiscations. As do most all the Veterans from World War II, Korea and Vietnam. That is why almost every single last one of them I know are armed! Mostly with M-1 Garands, M-1 Carbines, shotguns or 1911 pistols.
But now they recognize that, although the aforementioned are good guns, they hardly are a match against today's high capacity weapons.
The mere fact that actions by our government have caused them to think this way is very saddening indeed!
And it is not just veterans that are saying that things are really 'screwed up'. I hear the same sentiment from law enforcement officers, people in the military and other types of government employees. They are all strained because of the pressures placed on them by a corrupt and perverse government/legal system! That is why I don't look at all government employees as being corrupted. It is mainly the politicians, lawyers, judges and bureaucrats running the system. The system has been perverted to such an extent that it appears beyond repair. And the apathy of the general public makes it even worse for them. There doesn't appear to be anyone of 'high moral character' standing up and addressing the real issues. And getting our government back in touch with reality.

We're in trouble now....
Have a friend that has a 'knack' for being right on predictions he makes. Which can be irritating I must say. Anyways, he calls me this morning with his newest prediction. After he 'spilled the beans' I got a big 'knot' in my stomach. Because I knew what he said is true. He said that he will be placing a VERY large order for AR receivers very soon. Remember that I'm a sales mgr. at a gun store. So, I bit and asked him why? He stated that the next elections are going to be won by the democrats. In the executive as well as House and Senate. And that this time the ban will be on ALL semi-automatic guns PERIOD.
This friend I have is very knowledgeable on any matters affecting guns. He pays particular attention to the political arena and voting records. The voting records of the democrats is chilling when it comes to guns. They care little, if at all, about our Constitution! And God knows our weak and ineffective judicial system won't declare anything as being Unconstitutional and therefore Null and Void. They work hand in hand with the dems in perverting our system of government and laws. We stand to lose a lot over the next six years!
We have an opportunity to preemptively strike and try to secure our rights. But we have a limited time in which to act.

9/11 was a 'Wake Up' call....
What 9/11 was for this country, I believe, is a 'Wake Up' call. We need to be roused from our lethargy. And realize our government is NOT the answer to all our problems. Nor that it was EVER intended to be the answer! Personal and Civic responsibility is the answer. If there had been armed citizens on those planes on 9/11. It would have just been another 'fly by' story in the newspaper about some 'idiots' that had tried to bring a knife to a gun fight!

Putting down a tyrant in Iraq...
We gathered a very large portion of our Armed Forces and sent them to Iraq to put down the tyranical leader, Saddam Hussein. And there is some merit to that. For he is a tyrant. Yet a finger isn't lifted to put it down in our own country! By any definition this would have to be called hypocrisy! We have 'supposed' representatives that are each day subverting and perverting the laws of our land! And they are doing it by concerted effort! Why isn't this being addressed by the zealots? We need an Abu Ghraib detention center here in this country for the political criminals that are supposedly representing us!

Found this poem on Bible Study Online....
The New School Prayer
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

"The world changed after 9/11."
This phrase has been repeated often since the cowardly deeds were carried out. From my viewpoint the 'world' didn't change at all. Our 'perception' of it changed. As did our 'supposed' representatives in Washington. They came up with The 'Patriot Act' a document which in and of itself is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It is another 'back-door' methodology to chipping away at our rights!
The last time our country was attacked in such a manner was Pearl Harbor. There are many 'conspiracy' theories floating around about that "dastardly attack" as well. Some hold, and I'm inclined to agree, that our government had foreknowledge of the attack. That the attack was the 'excuse' used to draw the U.S.A. into WWII.
One of the most despicable actions our government has ever done was carried out in the hysteria following Pearl Harbor. They rounded up ALL people of Japanese decent, whether 'born citizens' or immigrants, and placed them in Concentration Camps. Can understand the fear that motivates such an action. However, to grossly violate citizens rights out of fear is inconceivable. The Germans attacked and sunk a number of our ships, including passenger ships. Yet our government didn't round up any Germans, (of which, I myself, am half German). The point being equity. Today, there seems to be a movement towards that same type of illogical thinking by our government. Only this time it is all citizens regardless of race, creed or color. There is ample evidence proving they want to get guns out of the hands of the people. And, if one method doesn't work, they are more than willing to use countless others. I believe this is called scheming.
Our government seems to have problems on the subject of history. They don't learn from it. The FACT that this country was founded and kept free by vigilant use of the gun seems to have escaped them. The FACT that our Constitution guarantees the Right to Keep and Bear Arms seems to have escaped them as well. That one of the main reasons we were to keep and bear arms was to have the ability to put down tyranny in government. (I believe they understand the latter crystal clear - hence their reasoning for getting rid of guns).
The point that I'm trying to make is that we as citizens should not be allowing our 'public servants' to DICTATE what we can or cannot do. Especially when it comes to Rights that have already been 'set in stone' as being unalienable! That they have no legal standing on which to DICTATE these rights. And, that if we do not act on these abuses of power we will be subjugated. If we do not form a LARGE cohesive body of citizens to confront them on these FACTS our future and that of our children's will be very dark indeed. "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country!" And women to.

Are there ANY un-corrupted politicians?
Does anyone know if there are any politicians that are not self-serving, unconstitutional, liars and thieves? That truly follow the theme of government outlined by our fore-fathers? Perhaps, if there are any, it would be good to give them some time in the 'spot-light'!
