prelume to carry any guns, swords, pistols, fowling-pieces, clubs, or
other arms and weapons whatsoever, without his master’s special licence .
. . Sect. 3. And that all the inhabitants . . . shall each of them
provide and keep . . . these following arms, to wit, a well-fixed
firelock or musket, one cartouch box, with sufficient charges of gun
