Christian university cans professor for singing about original sin

A longtime professor has lost his job at a Christian university for posting a video of a song he wrote that highlights the Christian belief of original sin.

That is that all people are born in sin because of the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Campus Reform reported Jim Spiegel was removed by Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, for his song posted on YouTube called "Little Hitler."

Spiegel told Campus Reform he had a meeting with Taylor Provost Mike Hammond and Dean of the School of Arts, Biblical Studies and Humanities Tom Jones, and othersl in which a letter was read aloud dismissing him.

Voter Fraud: Pennsylvania Democrats Caught Throwing Out Trump Votes

Voter fraud and dirty politics go hand in hand. Add the element of mail-in voting, and the recipe is complete. And while many have predicted that mail-in voting as a result of COVID-19 will likely be manipulated to benefit Democrats, now there is proof that is already happening. The U.S. Attorney’s office in Harrisburg, the capitol of Pennsylvania, announced on Thursday that it had discovered a small batch of mail-in military ballots that had been thrown out by election officials in Luzerne County.

While the batch was small, one thing stands out. Every discarded ballot was cast for Donald Trump. The county seat of of Luzerne County is Wilkes-Barre. Until 2016, when it shifted strongly toward Trump, Luzerne County had long been solidly in the Democrat camp. A coal-mining area with many union workers, Luzerne County voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012.

It appears that the Democratic establishment is not content to allow Luzerne County to defect from their camp. Because even this early on, Democrats are already throwing out Trump votes to ensure a Democrat win in November.

Teacher told student he had 15 seconds to remove a Trump flag or he’d be kicked out of online class
A high school teacher in Northern California threatened to kick a student out of a virtual class unless he removed a "Trump 2020" flag from his camera background.

According to KOVR-TV, the 16-year-old student was in his bedroom participating in an online class for Colusa High School when his chemistry teacher took issue with the sign and demanded that he take it down or adjust the camera view.

"Since school has begun, my son has had this Trump flag hanging in his background," the student's mother, Tiffany, told the news outlet. Their last names have been withheld from reports.

According to the student's mother, the teacher told her son, "You can sit up, remove the flag, or reposition your camera within the next 15 seconds or I'm kicking you out of class."

In a video of the incident, recorded by another student and included in the news video below, the teacher can be heard counting to 15 seconds while repeating the threat. . . .

Acts under “color of any law” include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within the bounds or limits of their lawful authority, but also acts done without and beyond the bounds of their lawful authority; provided that, in order for unlawful acts of any official to be done under “color of any law,” the unlawful acts must be done while such official is purporting or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. This definition includes, in addition to law enforcement officials, individuals such as Mayors, Council persons, Judges, Nursing Home Proprietors, Security Guards, etc., persons who are bound by laws, statutes ordinances, or customs.

Punishment varies from a fine or imprisonment of up to one year, or both, and if bodily injury results or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire shall be fined or imprisoned up to ten years or both, and if death results, or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

Police in Wilson, North Carolina, has made its second arrest in connection with the August shooting death of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant.

Officers with the Wilson Police Department arrested 21-year-old Aolani Takemi Marie Pettit on Tuesday, according to a news release.

Pettit was charged with felony accessory after the fact and received a $250,000 secured bond.

The arrest comes more than a month after Cannon Hinnant was shot and killed on Aug. 9 while riding his bicycle in front of his home.

In a case that might well serve as an object lesson in the blurring lines between Democratic politicians and left-wing activists, a Kentucky state representative could face up to five years in prison for her alleged participation in a violent protest.

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, state Rep. Attica Scott and her daughter, Ashanti Scott, were among at least 24 people arrested in Breonna Taylor demonstrations in Louisville on Thursday night. Almost all of them were arrested in the vicinity of the Louisville Free Public Library — a building into which someone threw a flare after breaking a window.

Also arrested was activist Shameka Parrish-Wright. The three women were released from jail Friday morning and are set to be arraigned on Oct. 6.

President Trump is unveiling an economic empowerment plan for black Americans in Atlanta on Friday that will designate both Antifa and the Ku Klux Klan as terrorist organizations.

The “Platinum Plan” details Trump’s vision for a potential second term, including increasing access to capital to black businesses by almost $500 billion, which will create 3 million new jobs for the black community, and creating 50,000 new black-owned businesses, the document said.

It comes as the Trump campaign tries to boost support among black voters, touting its criminal justice reforms and record low African American unemployment before the pandemic.

Under the four pillars of “opportunity,” “security,” “prosperity” and “fairness,” the Trump campaign vowed to make symbolic gestures, including designating Juneteenth as a national holiday and making lynching a hate crime.

Former special counsel Robert Mueller’s prosecution of former White House National Security Advisor Michael Flynn appeared to be based an aspiration to “get Trump,” an FBI agent who was part of Mueller’s team told the Department of Justice, according to a DOJ document filed Thursday.
As part of the ongoing Flynn case, the DOJ filed the FBI 302 of agent William Barnett’s Sept. 17 interview, which was conducted by Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Jeffrey Jensen, National Review reported.
“Attorney General William Barr had asked Jensen to go over the case against Flynn, and Jensen has since joined U.S. Attorney John Durham in a probe of the origins of the Russia investigation,” according to the outlet.
Barnett discussed his work with the FBI, specifically his assignment to the cases against Flynn and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort as part of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, which sought to investigate alleged ties between Trump associates and Russian officials during the election.

Citing two law enforcement officials, CNN reported the package was addressed to Trump and intercepted by authorities this week.

“Two tests were done to confirm the presence of ricin,” according to the outlet.

Joe Biden stood by his previous support for allowing China into the World Trade Organization and granting it favorable trade status.

In an interview that aired Thursday, CNN host Jake Tapper challenged the Democratic presidential nominee on his stance from when he was vice president. "It is in our self-interest that China continue to prosper," Biden said in 2011.

"A lot of people think that allowing China into the World Trade Organization, which you supported, extending most-favored nation status to China, which you supported, that those steps allowed China to take advantage of the United States by using our own open trade deals against us," Tapper said. "Do you think, in retrospect, you were naive about China?"

"No," Biden said. "In the context of that, we want China to grow. We don't want to have a war with China."

LONG BEACH DESK - The Long Beach Naval Station was tentatively placed on the Military Base Closure-List by president George Bush in 1991. President Bill Clinton, closed the naval base last in 1993. That resulted in the loss to Long Beach, California of 17,500 military and civilian jobs. The economic impact of the of loss was $52.5 million and drove the California economy into the tank. It has never recovered.

Between 1995-1996, during the heat of the Clinton-Gore Campaign fund raising activity, the Clinton administration actively intervened to make sure a Communist Chinese cargo container shipping interest got a too-good deal on a Long Beach, California, shipping terminal.

The Secretary of the Navy has formally turned the base over to the City of Long Beach. But, the Port of Long Beach has signed a letter of intent to lease the property to the China Ocean Shipping Co., a steamship line run by the Communist Chinese government.

The Navy base property is about to be leased to a Communist China-owned shipping company under an agreement that was only made possible by the intervention of the White House.

Forced by a court order, Port of Long Beach officials have now set March 12, 1997 for a new public hearing on plans to bulldoze the Naval Station and lease the property to the Comunist Chinese shipping company.

After a hearing before the court, a judge ruled last week that the deal had been rushed and proper procedures had not been in place.

Clinton was so eager to push the deal through that he met twice with Long Beach officials and once at a White House meeting in 1995 that included his then-chief of staff and the Pentagon's No. 2 official and others. . . .
